Creating space for healing, growth, and self-understanding.

I believe that healing begins when we feel truly heard. As an integrative counsellor and Individual Member of the BACP, I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative space where you can explore whatever has brought you to therapy. Whether you're navigating grief, loss, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a significant life transition, my aim is to help you feel safe, supported, and understood.

I believe our experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences, helping you gain greater clarity, deepen your self-understanding, and move towards meaningful change.

Through my clinical work supporting individuals affected by pregnancy loss, postnatal depression, bereavement, and life-limiting diagnoses, I have developed a particular interest in working with grief, loss, and trauma. I understand that healing is not about "moving on," but about making sense of your experiences in a way that feels right for you.

My work is guided by empathy, curiosity, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and growth. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice, and I will work alongside you at a pace that feels comfortable, supporting you as you develop greater understanding, resilience, and self-compassion.

My Therapeutic
Approach

Every person's experiences are unique, which is why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My work is rooted in an integrative approach, with person-centred therapy at the core of the therapeutic relationship. I believe that feeling heard, understood, and accepted provides the foundation for meaningful change.

Alongside this, I thoughtfully draw on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), and somatic mindfulness where they feel helpful and appropriate for your individual needs.

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-centred therapy at the core offers a warm, accepting space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you make sense of your experiences.

Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT)

We'll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop practical strategies to shift unhelpful patterns.

Transactional Analysis
(TA)

I introduce Transactional Analysis (TA) to explore how past experiences and relationship patterns shape how you see yourself and others, supporting greater self-awareness and new ways of responding.

Mindfulness-Based
Techniques

I'll introduce grounding and mindfulness practices to help you stay present, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with your body.

Trauma & Somatic
Informed Therapy

I understand that trauma lives in the body and the nervous system, not just the mind. Our work will honour your pace and prioritise your sense of safety above all else.

Continuing Education

As part of my ongoing professional development, I am currently undertaking a Level 5 Diploma in Trauma and Somatic Therapy, further developing my understanding of how trauma can be experienced through both the mind and the body.

As part of this training, I may gently introduce somatic techniques to support the nervous system and help you feel more grounded and regulated. Where appropriate, and always collaboratively, we may incorporate practices such as breathing exercises, orienting and noticing sensations within the body.

Trauma can be experienced not only through our thoughts and memories, but also through the body and nervous system. Alongside talking therapy and exploring your experiences cognitively (a ‘top-down’ approach), somatic techniques can offer a ‘bottom-up’ way of gently connecting with and processing what your body may be communicating.

My Values

Diverse & Inclusive Practice

I am committed to providing a safe, compassionate, and inclusive counselling space where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and without judgement.

I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, faiths, genders, sexual orientations, relationship styles, and abilities.

My approach is rooted in curiosity, empathy, and collaboration. I believe your identity, values, and lived experiences should be acknowledged and respected, and I will always strive to offer counselling that is culturally sensitive, affirming, and tailored to your individual needs.
